At Anuga FoodTec India 2025 in Mumbai, Forbes Marshall, a provider of energy efficiency and process automation solutions, highlighted its portfolio designed to address critical operational challenges in the food and beverage sector. The company’s showcase revolved around four key areas—energy efficiency, emissions control, water balance management, and system availability in the steam and condensate loop.
IndiFoodBev spoke to Ninad Gaikwad, sales manager at Forbes Marshall, who shared insights on the company’s offerings and its commitment to delivering solutions for industries such as food, beverages, and packaging.

According to Gaikwad, the company participated at the expo to demonstrate its ability to provide end-to-end solutions, ranging from simple instrumentation to complex automation systems. “We are offering solutions from simple pressure gauges to DCS (distributed control systems) to boilers,” Gaikwad said.
The company’s portfolio consisted of flowmeters and mass flowmeters, which enable high-precision measurement in applications such as clean-in-place (CIP) systems for automated cleaning, sugar processing for accurate ingredient monitoring, and pulp production for process control.
Other products included analysers tailored for both food product quality assessment and monitoring water treatment processes in effluent treatment plants (ETPs) within food manufacturing units.
The display featured steam solutions, including steam traps to manage condensate removal, steam products for safe steam distribution, and boilers, all of which are essential for efficient thermal energy management during various food processing and packaging operations.
“We are here not to sell the products, we are here to give the solutions,” Gaikwad said.
Forbes Marshall plans to expand its footprint in the food industry. The company is actively investing in R&D to develop new products to meet the evolving needs of customers. “These upcoming innovations are expected to hit the market in the next couple of years, as the company plans to strengthen its presence in energy-intensive sectors such as food and beverages.
Apart from R&D, Forbes Marshall is focusing on capacity expansion, ensuring it can serve a broader customer base and scale up its solutions in response to industry demand.
“India’s food and beverage industry is on a strong growth trajectory, driven by rising consumption, urbanization, and export potential. However, challenges such as high energy costs, stringent environmental regulations, and the need for consistent product quality mean that processors must adopt advanced technologies to stay competitive,” Gaikward explanined.
According to him, Forbes Marshall’s solutions directly address these challenges by improving energy efficiency, reducing emissions, optimizing water usage, and ensuring system reliability.
Summing up, Gaikwad said, “You just name the product required in your industry, and we are there to give you the solution.”
