At Anuga FoodTec India 2025, V-Shapes, a brand owned by CP Italy Srl — which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Control Print, highlighted its patented single-portion packaging innovation. According to Ankush Gupta, head of marketing at V-Shapes, the solution is designed to redefine convenience, inclusivity, and sustainability in the packaging industry.
Known for its unique ‘Snap-then-Squeeze’ mechanism, the company focused on creating awareness around this solution that requires only three fingers to open and dispense.
Gupta explained that the technology is globally patented and offers a clear advantage in terms of convenience and accessibility. Unlike traditional sachets that need cutting, tearing, or scissors, V-Shapes’ packets can be opened with one hand.
“This is an inclusive product. You simply snap the packet and squeeze it – and the product is dispensed hygienically and without mess,” Gupta said.
The format is currently used for a variety of liquid products – from gels, oils, and condiments to pharmaceutical pastes and nutraceutical solutions. Gupta said the brand is in the advanced stages of developing packaging options for powders and eco-friendly paper-based packaging.
He mentioned Bombay Shaving Company, which uses these packets for shave gels distributed in hotels. This format is also gaining traction in cosmetics and pharma applications.
“Our idea is to build case studies in every sector. We want brands to see how versatile this packaging is, whether it’s food, pharma, or cosmetics. The hygienic dispensing and ease of use make it suitable for many high-potential categories,” Gupta said.
At the Mumbai exhibition, V-Shapes focused primarily on awareness-building. “Many in the industry are still not aware that such a packaging format exists,” Gupta explained. “Anuga FoodTec is the right platform since food and beverage companies are always on the lookout for new ideas. We want them to recognize this as a viable and innovative solution that can bring differentiation to their products.”
“With the growing appetite for on-the-go convenience packaging, driven largely by Gen Z and millennial consumers, we see a significant potential for our patented design. Consumers today prefer single-serve options that can be easily carried, consumed, and disposed of,” Gupta said.
While V-Shapes’ core business lies in selling packaging machinery, it has also invested in co-packing facilities for clients who are not ready to invest in machines immediately.
“This dual approach allows us to both promote our machines and help brands adopt the format without capital expenditure. The demand is there, but many companies prefer to test the format before purchasing the machinery – and our co-packing option gives them that flexibility,” Gupta explained.
