At Drinktec India 2025 in Mumbai, Goma Process Technology showcased its solutions for the beverage and dairy processing sectors. In a conversation with Indi FoodBev, Amol Maind, general manager, Goma Process Technology, highlighted the company’s growing focus on turnkey capability, product formulation support, and advanced automation—areas that are increasingly shaping the evolution of India’s beverage manufacturing ecosystem.
Goma Process Technology is part of the broader Goma Group, which consists of four companies: Goma Process, Goma Engineering, Goma Cleantech, and Organico Beverages. Organico Beverages was prominently featured at the exhibition, with its products on display at the company’s stand. The unit was established in response to repeated industry demands, particularly from new entrepreneurs venturing into beverage manufacturing, seeking guidance not just on machinery but also on formulation, processing workflow, and compliance standards.
“Many clients wish to set up a juice plant but do not know where or how to begin,” Maind said during the interaction. Organico was created precisely to fill this knowledge gap. Located near Mumbai, the demonstration and development facility functions as a model processing plant where customers can learn about formulation, equipment integration, hygiene protocols, and production workflow.
The company’s entire product portfolio, starting from technologies such as pasteurizers, homogenizers, sterilisers, automated sugar syrup systems, to UHT (ultra-high temperature) systems, and CIP (clean-in-place) solutions, were highlighted at the Goma stand.
With growing demand across sectors such as juices, dairy, and value-added beverages, UHT processing is receiving notable emphasis from the brand. According to Maind, the shift reflects changing consumer expectations, longer shelf life, improved hygiene standards, and convenient on-shelf availability, features traditionally associated with European markets but now gaining traction in India and Southeast Asia.
According to him, Goma’s offering has evolved significantly over the past decade. What once began as an equipment supply business has now matured into a holistic solutions framework. With Organico supporting product formulation and technical training, Goma can now assist customers throughout plant planning, civil layout, utility engineering, installation, and operational support. This shift toward turnkey execution showcases a broader industry trend — where beverage brands, especially startups and regional manufacturers, seek ready-to-produce infrastructure along with market-relevant product concepts.
Organico’s formulation and R&D assistance spans a wide range of beverage categories. Traditional product lines such as jeera drinks, juices, and RTD (ready-to-drink) refreshers are present along with modern segments such as hydration beverages, vitamin-enriched water, iced tea, and functional drinks. The dairy innovation portfolio covers greek yogurt, layered yogurt combinations, and emerging niche products such as yogurt dips, the categories that align with growing consumer preferences for high-protein and probiotic-rich foods.
Maind said the company is focused on long-shelf-life food and beverages. As supply chains expand and brands eye export markets, product stability and food safety have become central priorities. “We are targeting long shelf life products because that is the industry demand,” Maind emphasized. With raw milk availability improving, Indian manufacturers look beyond immediate consumption to stable, hygienic, portable formats that meet both domestic and international standards.
