Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the fourth edition of the global mega food event, World Food India (WFI) 2025, on 25 September 2025, at 6:00 PM at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Chirag Paswan, will also be present at the event.

Organized by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), World Food India 2025 will take place from 25 to 28 September 2025. This flagship global event aims to showcase the transformative potential of the food processing sector and position India as the “Food Hub of the World” by fostering collaboration, innovation, and investment across the food processing value chain.

Building on the success of previous editions, the fourth World Food India will serve as a premier international platform, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, and other stakeholders. Participants will connect, collaborate, and explore opportunities within India’s rapidly growing food processing ecosystem.

A large number of domestic and international exhibitors are expected, making this event one of the most comprehensive showcases of the global food ecosystem.

This year, New Zealand and Saudi Arabia will act as partner countries, while Japan, the UAE, Vietnam, and Russia will participate as focus countries. Their involvement aims to strengthen bilateral ties, enhance knowledge exchange, and create new opportunities for trade and investment in the food processing sector.

The event will feature a series of knowledge sessions and panel discussions with global thought leaders, policymakers, and industry experts. Sectoral exhibitions will highlight the latest innovations, technologies, and solutions in food processing, packaging, machinery, cold chain logistics, and related industries. Networking opportunities for B2B and B2G will be available to forge strategic partnerships and collaborations. Culinary experiences and chef competitions will also showcase India’s rich food diversity and highlight global trends in healthy, sustainable, and futuristic foods.

Additionally, two international events will be held in conjunction with World Food India. The third Global Food Regulators Summit, organized by FSSAI, will provide a unique platform for global regulators to discuss the harmonization of food safety standards and strengthen regulatory cooperation. The 24th India International Seafood Show (IISS), organized by the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI), will focus on India’s growing seafood export potential and its global market linkages.

Chirag Paswan visited Bharat Mandapam on 11 September 2025 to conduct a detailed review of the arrangements. He assessed the venue layout, logistics, stall planning, security measures, and protocols for welcoming international delegates.
