Satara-based Mala’s started its first manufacturing unit in Panchgani in 1958 and has since expanded to seven manufacturing plants across India. Mala’s product range includes jams, fruit crushes, syrups, mocktails, and confectionery products. The company showcased its range at the recent Indusfood and Aahar exhibitions in Delhi-NCR.

All of Mala’s manufacturing units are based out of Maharashtra – one in Nashik, three in Panchgani and four at Wai near Pune, Raghvendra Tripathi from Mala’s told IndiFoodBev. The focus of the company at both shows was to reach out to business associates from the international market. Mala’s already exports its products to the Gulf and European countries along with the US, Australia, Japan, and the UK.

Tripathi says they face geopolitical issues in the international market but refused to elaborate. “We believe in manufacturing products we can give to our children. Quality and value for money are our USPs,” he said, adding the experience at both shows was good and they received good inquiries.
