Revala, a maker of powdered milk mixes for food manufacturing companies, highlighted its ice cream powders at Sial India 2024, a leading event dedicated to food innovation held from 5-7 December 2024 at IICC (Yashobhoomi), Dwarka, New Delhi, India. The Estonian company, founded in 1990, is focused on export markets offering cost-effective alternatives to milk and skimmed milk powder while maintaining the quality of the final product.
Kert Lama, technical and sales manager and company board member told IndiFoodBev that the company’s mixes are suitable for making ice creams and milkshakes in many flavors, including lactose-free. The company also received the silver prize at the Sial Innovation Award 2024. He says Revala ice cream powder is a delightful and profitable product for various ice cream machines. It ensures a smooth and creamy texture, enhancing dessert offerings with every serve.

Revala ice cream powders are made for home consumption, cafes, restaurants, and factories. Lama, speaking about the range displayed at the show, said, “We have everything in powder form. Our products include soft-serve ice cream powders, gelato powders, rolling ice cream powder, lactose-free powder, and dairy-free powder suitable for all palettes and tolerances. The powders also contain many vitamins and probiotics, making it a healthy dessert.”
Lama said the ice cream culture is pretty big in India. “Our products fit the bill for the cost-sensitive Indian market. We offer powdered milk mixes for both larger and smaller food manufacturing companies, as well as bakeries, large kitchens, and catering establishments that use milk and fat or their combined mixture in the preparation of their dishes. Currently, we export to more than 65 countries and enter 3-4 new markets every year.”
