Kerala-based PKM Fine Foods & Spices showcased its brand Beyond Bowls at Indusfood Manufacturing in Delhi’s Dwarka. Beyond Bowls is a ready-to-eat brand with a product range of sterilized meals, including dal tadka, dal makani, and chana masala (Indian curries).
The brand also has ready-to-cook products in its portfolio such as chicken curry gravy and fish curry gravy, into which customers need to add chicken and fish and cook to prepare a meal.
Apart from the ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook products, PKM has a range of tender dry fruit products that are vegan, meat substitutes, and ready-to-eat sweet corn. With 15 ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook products in its product range, PKM’s primary objective of participating in Indusfood Manufacturing was to get in touch with business associates, buyers and suppliers.
The company received good customer inquiries at the show, Paul Kurian, managing director, PKM Fine Foods & Spices, told IndiFoodBev.
“The ready-to-eat food industry in India is picking up fast. It is a potential food sector and I feel it will grow very fast. Nowadays, working couples don’t have time to cook. Families are also very busy and these comprise a huge chunk of the urban population, which is likely to use ready-to-eat products. Convenience boosts the demand for ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook food products. Our bestselling products are ready-to-eat dal tadka, dal makhani, rajma masala and chana masala.” Kurian shared.
