Carlsberg India has invested ₹100 crore in its Mysuru brewery for a new can line, adding 22,000 cans per hour to its production capacity, the company announced in a LinkedIn post.

The inauguration builds on its ₹350 crore expansion commitment announced at Invest Karnataka 2025 and reflects its continued confidence in India as a strategic growth market, the company said.

The new line was inaugurated by Yathindra Siddaramaiah, MLC, government of Karnataka; Peter Winther-Schmidt, consul general of Denmark in Bengaluru; Nilesh Patel, managing director, Carlsberg India; along with the leadership team, Sanjeev Gupta, vice president – integrated supply chain; Vandana Kapur, vice president – people & culture; Ananda Sengupta, vice president – sales; Rishi K Chawla, vice president – corporate affairs.

Located in Nanjangud taluk, the Mysuru brewery covers 28 acres and produces the Carlsberg and Tuborg beer brands. The facility operates biomass boilers powered by husk and biogas and fulfills approximately 85 percent of its energy needs through solar power.
