Sidel India, a food processing and packaging solutions provider, highlighted its aseptic PET technology portfolio at the Dairy Industry Conference and Exhibition held from 12 to 14 February at IICC Dwarka, Delhi. The 52nd Dairy Industry Conference marked a high-impact debut for Sidel and offered an ideal platform to showcase its offerings to India’s fast-evolving dairy market.

According to Mayank Sood, Sidel sales director, South Asia, India is currently experiencing a rapid market change due to factors such as rising health awareness, urbanization and the growing demand for functional dairy beverages. The event provided an opportunity for Sidel to demonstrate how its aseptic products support the safety of longer shelf-life dairy products.

With over 10 installations in India and an ever-expanding footprint, Sidel can provide solutions to the growing demand for varied applications in the dairy industry. The event strengthened the company’s visibility among both established dairy producers and the growing number of cooperatives and emerging dairies now considering aseptic PET.

Sood said the event enabled Sidel to engage with a broad range of customers within India’s dairy sector. Its presence was designed to make a high-impact impression and connect with customers looking to explore aseptic production or expand operations.

It was an effective forum for meaningful discussions and new contacts, coming at a time when Sidel is increasing its reach with regional dairy companies beginning to adopt modern packaging and processing technologies,” he said.

He explained that Sidel’s Aseptic Combi Predis was featured for its dry preform sterilization technology. It removes the need for empty bottle sterilization, reduces water and chemical use and supports extended shelf-life.

The Aseptic Predis X4 was also shown as the latest evolution of the Predis range, with improved performance and digital capability designed for sensitive beverages, including UHT dairy and plant-based drinks. Qual-IS, Sidel’s digital quality control platform, was highlighted for its ability to bring sampling, laboratory management and traceability into one system.

The Predis X4 represents the latest evolution of Sidel’s aseptic technology and builds on the strengths of the original Predis system by offering a wider aseptic output range and an enhanced design with stronger digital features,” Sood said.

It also incorporates QSense, Sidel’s patented magnetic aseptic filling valve for sensitive products, which eliminates the need for bellows and membranes and results in upto 30% faster filling rate. It is capable of running for up to 240 hours of continuous production without stopping for cleaning or sterilization, which is particularly beneficial for high-growth dairy categories. Qual-IS is also a recently introduced digital platform that centralizes key quality functions to help producers manage both food safety and traceability more effectively.”

Sidel’s Aseptic Combi Predis reduces contamination risk and resource use while supporting uninterrupted operation. The Aseptic Predis X4 highlighted its ability to run for extended periods and manage a wide mix of sensitive beverage types, including beverages with particles. The Qual-IS drew attention to the rising importance of integrated digital quality control across sampling, laboratory oversight, and traceability. These advancements reflect India’s shift toward high-protein, probiotic and low-sugar dairy products requiring strong food safety measures and longer shelf-life.

The company plans to build on its strong foundation of more than 53 years of aseptic expertise and over 400 installed systems worldwide to support the continued growth of India’s dairy sector.

It intends to deepen its engagement with both high-volume producers and the many emerging dairies investing in aseptic PET for the first time. This includes helping manufacturers deliver safe and nutritious dairy beverages through its solutions.
