At Drinktec Delhi 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam from 22 to 24 April, Osaka Reiken, a Japanese company specializing in PET container processing technologies, showcased its range of products, including a PET resin dehumidifying dryer, crystallizer, and a SSP system.
The spotlight, however, was on the launch of its new waterless PET resin dryer, which the company said eliminated the need for water in the drying process, offering efficiency gains while reducing environmental impact.
IndiFoodBev met company representative Yoshiki Kanaoka, who explained about Osaka Reiken’s products and plans. Kanaoka explained that Osaka Reiken’s solutions are not based on standard models but are customized to meet specific customer requirements.
This approach is designed to save energy and optimize operations, which is particularly relevant for beverage and dairy producers seeking cost-effective and sustainable technologies.
The emphasis on tailored solutions reflects the company’s strategy to align with industry needs rather than offering one-size-fits-all equipment, Kanaoka said.
Drinktec Delhi provided Osaka Reiken with useful engagement and networking opportunities, though Kanaoka felt a bigger event, such as the one in Mumbai, could enhance its reach.
He pointed to a clear industry trend—the rapid growth of recycled materials in packaging solutions. This shift is expected to play a major role in shaping the future of beverage and dairy packaging, as recyclability and sustainability become central priorities.
The challenges are familiar across the sector—rising raw material costs and extended lead times, driven by global trade disruptions. All these are affecting operations and planning, he explained.
Despite these pressures, the company says its focus on customized, energy-saving solutions and its introduction of the waterless PET resin dryer demonstrate its ability to adapt to both technological and market realities.
Drinktec Delhi 2026, Kanaoka said, was an important platform for Osaka Reiken to show how it is positioning itself to support the industry’s evolving requirements.
