The opening of the plant marks another important milestone in Krones' development in India

Krones, a German company that builds machines and complete production lines for filling, packaging, and processing drinks and food, is further expanding its presence in India with the official opening of its new plant in Vemagal, near Bangalore, on 19 August.

The new site enables the company to support customers even more closely and strengthen its position in one of the world’s most important growth markets for the beverage, food and packaging industries.

India is playing an increasingly important role for Krones, the company stated in a press release on its website. The group is already represented in the country through several companies and centers of competence. With the new production facility, Krones is adding another important element to this network and making a targeted investment in the future of the Indian market.

“India is one of the world’s most dynamic growth markets. With the opening of this facility, we are reaffirming Krones’ long-term commitment to the country and creating a platform for future growth, innovation and value creation. We see India as a strategic market and an important part of Krones’ global growth journey,” says Ralf Goldbrunner, member of the executive board of Krones AG.

Krones already operates several locations in India, including Krones India and Krones Digital Solutions India in Bangalore, Krones Processing India in Hyderabad and System Logistics India in Mumbai. The new facility in Vemagal further expands this footprint and underscores the company’s long-term commitment to the Indian market.

“The real significance of this facility lies not in its buildings, machinery or technology, but in the people, partnerships and shared commitment that made it possible. This achievement reflects the dedication of our teams and marks the beginning of the next chapter of the Krones story in India,” says Thomas Wolter, managing director of Krones Machinery India.

The opening of the plant marks another important milestone in Krones’ development in India. With this new facility, the company is laying the foundations for further growth while underlining its long-term commitment to a market that is becoming increasingly significant for the global beverage, food and packaging industries.

The technology company Krones, headquartered in Neutraubling, Germany, is a leading international developer and manufacturer of machines and complete lines for the areas of process, filling, and packaging technology.

Additional products and services from Krones subsidiaries, such as solutions for digitalization, intralogistics, as well as injection molding and plastics recycling, complement the product portfolio. Krones employs more than 21,000 people worldwide.
