Cybernetik, a global provider of automation technologies specializing in industrial automation and robotics, showcased its solutions for the packaging industry at Anuga FoodTec 2024 in Mumbai. The company showcased live demo models of its Cobot Palletizer and CY-ROB1030, its robotic pick-and-solution, and highlighted its entire group, which operates through multiple divisions and subsidiaries for various industries.

With two factories in Pune and two in Nadiad, Gujarat, Kunal Agarwal, marketing head at Cybernetik, says the company provides support in automation solutions for multiple industries. He said, “We have solutions ranging from food handling and processing all the way to packaging. Our wide range of solutions from raw material receiving to end packaging helps us deliver maximum value to our clients.”

According to Agarwal, the Indian food industry has always stood the test of time and has grown year on year. “You see a lot of new companies and existing companies still opening factories and growing internationally. We take pride in helping these companies to grow and supply internationally with automation,” he says.

Explaining how automation is implemented in the manufacturing process till a product reaches the packaging stage, he said, “Flexibility in manufacturing and packaging is the most important thing right now. The consumer’s demand is changing. They want sustainable products with sustainable packaging. Manufacturers need to adjust and become agile to these changing demands and that is possible when you have automation in place.”

With automation, when a manufacturer changes a certain part of the manufacturing process, there would be no downtime. The changes can be done virtually and then we can deploy them with the action flow,” he says.

At Anuga FoodTec, Cybernetik targeted smaller manufacturers who wanted to move toward automation in manufacturing and packaging. The company is coming up with its fifth manufacturing facility in Maharashtra, which Agarwal says is bigger than the previous four. It is located strategically closer to the port, which will help them in exports.
