DeVANS Modern Breweries, an Indian brewer and distiller, showcased its range of award-winning alcoholic beverages at the Indusfood show in Greater Noida. The company, a long-standing name in the Indian spirits industry with over 50 years of operations, reported a robust increase in its export footprint since the last edition.

Ridhima Dewan, marketing manager at DeVANS, told IndiFoodBev that the company’s reach has expanded into more territories, including Africa and Nepal.

The centerpiece of the presentation this year was a strategic diversification into the premium gin market. DeVANS used the expo to provide a first look at its new award-winning gin named Gingalalahu, which has already garnered a Grand Gold award in the premium segment.

It is the only Indian gin to achieve such an honor in its category. While the product is not yet available to the general consumer, it is slated for an official launch between February and March.

In the whisky sector, the brewery has significantly matured its offerings under the GianChand label. It introduced two new high-end additions to the portfolio — Adambaraa and Manshaa. She explained that these expressions represent a more premium tier of Indian single malt.

Adambaraa is distinguished by a complete lack of peat for a smoother profile, while Manshaa is for connoisseurs of heavily peated whiskies. These sit atop their established blended brands, Old Vat and Master Barrel, which continue to drive high-volume export sales across international borders,” Dewan said.

Beyond spirits, Devans continues to dominate the brewing landscape with its dual facilities in Jammu and Kotputli. Its flagship beer brand, Godfather, remains a staple in the regular segment with three distinct expressions, while the premium label, Six Fields, offers five diverse styles ranging from light to strong.

Prem Dewan, chairman and managing director of DeVANS, noted that Indusfood is an export-centric show and very useful for the company’s branding beyond borders. The company remains optimistic that the high-quality footfall will translate into long-term partnerships, solidifying its status as one of the country’s largest producers of malt spirits and a leader in the B2B supply chain.
