Goma Process Technologies, a sister concern of Goma Engineering, showcased its latest food processing machinery at the Indusfood Manufacturing exhibition. As a leading manufacturer and solution provider, the company specializes in high-pressure pumps, process technology equipment, and automation solutions for industries such as dairy, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and chemicals. The exhibition provided an opportunity for Goma to highlight its newly launched machinery for processing smoothies, milkshakes, mayonnaise, and margarine.
With four manufacturing units located in Maharashtra and Gujarat, Goma Process Technologies exports its customized solutions to more than 50 countries. It is the first Indian Company to develop an indigenous high-pressure homogenizer of various capacities from 50LPH (liters per hour) to 20,000LPH for various applications. More than 2,500 units are supplied all over the globe.
At the exhibition, Srinivas Sondur, vice president, Goma Process Technologies, emphasized the company’s growing focus on automation and innovation. “Participating in this exhibition and highlighting our recently launched processing machinery is a testament to our expansion into other food sectors,” he said. Goma has long been a key player in manufacturing processing units for milk and other dairy products, and it is now strengthening its presence in adjacent food processing segments.
Sondur highlighted how automation has reshaped the industry in recent years. “In the last 5-6 years, investment that was earlier focused on strengthening the small and medium-scale industry has now shifted towards automation. Automation has enabled small and medium-scale enterprises to compete with major brands such as Pepsi, Amul, Coke, and many more,” he explained. The shift toward automation has not only improved efficiency but also enhanced product consistency and quality—factors that are crucial for competing in the global market.
Recognizing the importance of automation, Goma has established its in-house automation division to manufacture automated control panels for its machinery. This allows the company to have greater control over the integration of automation technologies into its product portfolio.
Additionally, Goma is rapidly expanding its expertise in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, which play a vital role in monitoring and controlling industrial processes. To support this transition, the company has recently recruited 15 PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) engineers as part of its goal to make 90% of its machinery PLC-based.
