At the Anuga FoodTec 2024, Japan’s Yamato showcased its new counting system, which is capable of precisely counting high-value products such as seeds. In addition, the company also featured its regular multi-head weighers with enhanced speed.

We have increased the speed from the conventional 80 or 90 to 110 and 115, and even 140 units per minute. These are some of the key products we presented at the exhibition,” said Gaurav Kumar, senior manager- sales, Yamato Scales India.

The company’s focus at the expo was primarily on food and agricultural products. While most of the customers are from the food segment, its machines are suitable for any free-flowing, granular product. Granular products are Yamato’s area of expertise.

As long as the product is free-flowing, we ensure accuracy and performance. Our machines may be expensive, but their speed, performance, and precision are unmatched by the competition,” Singh added.

On the company’s presence in India, Singh said Yamato works with all the major snack manufacturers like Haldiram’s, Balaji Wafers and PepsiCo, to name a few.

All these big companies use our machines. We have a strong presence across India, supplying not only to the snack industry but also dry foods, seeds, and seafood sectors,” he said.

Commenting on Anuga FoodTec, Singh said the expo had been an excellent platform as it brought together customers not only from across India but also from international markets.
