ProPak India 2021, India’s leading Food & Health Ingredients, processing and packaging exhibition has been organized by Informa Markets. It is the perfect platform for market trends, investments and industry networking through product exchange and a variety of conferences, seminars and technical workshops offering sustainable solutions for the country enterprises.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, there were multiple restrictions but as time flows the limitations are getting removed. In this Propak Expo 2021, we see curtailments of distancing – everybody here is maintaining social distancing, and wearing masks on faces. Informa Markets team is distributing disinfection kits to the exhibitors.
Here, in the trade event, we can also go through some facts like when we enter the event the temperature machine is not there, no sanitization before entering. So, this negligence can bring the disease back because Coronavirus is contagious in nature. If anybody is carrying symptoms of the contagious disease, then it can bring others into danger as well.
In this event we can see in one hall (Hall no. 5) there are separations. The division is in two colors — blue for ProPak exhibitors and orange for Fi-Hi exhibitors. The event also has a separate partition for the Italian pavilion featuring companies like Valuelinks, Arol Group, Cavanna, Cevolani, Concetti, Delfin, DVP, ICA, ILPRA, Sacmi, Veripack and Melkev. The visitors are very enthusiastic to see the new machines and of course they are very happy because this event has been held after a gap of two years. Visitors are asking their queries from the exhibitors.

The visitors are asking questions about primary packaging for cubes. This question is a hot potato in the event. Everybody is doing packaging of different things but nobody is giving packaging to pack the small cubes.
The exhibition also has stalls of magazine publishers as well. IPP Catalog Publications which caters to the paper, food and health packaging segment with magazines – Packaging South Asia, IndiFoodBev and HealthTekPak are showcasing their magazines to potential customers, visitors, and exhibitors at Stall P12 at the event and interviewing exhibitors.
The area is very clean and one good thing which is very unique is that boys are roaming around with placards in their hands bearing the words ‘Wear Your Mask & Maintain Social Distancing’, and the tables are also separated with fibreglass.
Proper signage is there to guide the visitors to specific areas for fire marshal, customer insight lounge and many more for visitor assistance. A well-stocked cafeteria section is also present where visitors and exhibitors can eat and have lunch.
The show is very good to see, it is a new hybrid format combining the benefits of the traditional physical exhibition, with the added flexibility of a virtual event.
