Bengaluru-based Switchon, an AI-powered inspection solutions provider, showcased its portfolio of products at the Anuga FoodTec 2024 show held in Mumbai from 28–30 August. Sarath V, marketing strategist at Switchon, said the company offers products that are more productive than traditional solutions available in the market and are user-friendly.

“Our solutions have several unique selling points. First, we only need 200 good images, whereas traditional systems require over 1,000. Training can be completed in 45 minutes, whereas it traditionally takes days. Deployment can be done in a couple of days, while traditionally, it can take months. Additionally, we provide downloadable and automated quality reports, detailing defects by time, timestamp, shift, type of defect, and more,” he said.

Discussing the reasons for participating in Anuga FoodTec, Sarath said Switchon has a strong presence in the FMCG sector, and Anuga FoodTec, being a show focused on the food industry, is an important expo for them.

“We have many opportunities here. For instance, we can conduct biscuit inspections, detecting defects on biscuit surfaces. We can identify if any cream is oozing out, if there are half-baked biscuits, or any colur changes in your biscuits—all these issues can be detected,” he said.

In addition to its head office in Bengaluru, Switchon has an office in Michigan, US. In India, it operates sales offices in Delhi and Pune.
