As cafés across India grow in popularity and scale, many are running into a common challenge, streamlining back-of-house operations without compromising on customer experience. Recognising this growing need in the café and quick service segment, Antarctica Equipment, a leader in refrigeration and food display solutions, has introduced FPG Inline Barista – a high-capacity milk storage cabinet explicitly built for the barista workstation.

Designed to fit seamlessly into bustling café counters, Inline Barista is more than just a milk fridge – it’s a productivity and health solution.

Meeting a growing market need

With the exponential growth of coffee culture in India, cafés are not only focused on brewing better beverages but also creating safer and more efficient work environments for their staff. Baristas, often on their feet all day, frequently bend to access under-counter storage, leading to fatigue, poor ergonomics, and inefficiencies during peak hours. FPG Inline Barista directly addresses these issues, bringing milk to an ergonomic, front-facing position that saves time, reduces strain, and supports First-In-First-Out (FIFO) inventory control.

Product highlights

Inline Barista’s top-access design minimises bending and improves workflow. It has high-capacity storage and ideal for high-volume cafés. It holds multiple 5L or 10L milk containers, ensuring the cafes are stocked even during rush hours. There is a pull-out drawer for easy access and inventory check  Stock rotation is effortless with an angled base, gravity feed matting, and adjustable guides, ensuring the oldest stock is always at the front. It is designed to fit under or beside counters, without compromising capacity or ease of access.

A built-in refrigeration maintains optimal temperature throughout the day. Milk can be maintained at an ideal average core product temperature of +2°C to +4°C (Climate Class 4) for over two and a half hours with the flap open, perfect for busy hours. It consumes only 0.04 kWh per hour (average for Climate Class 4 conditions), fitted with eco-friendly refrigerant R290, and optimised with EC fans and automated refrigeration cycles.

FPG managing director and CEO Robert Darroch said, “Developed through real-world insights, it improves productivity and staff wellbeing by reducing bending, enhancing stock management, and speeding up coffee service—benefiting owners, staff, and customers alike.”

Inline Barista comes in two variants -Freestanding with adjustable legs and Freestanding with rollers.

The FPG Inline Barista is now available across India exclusively through Antarctica Equipment. Customisation options are available to suit café layouts and branding. Bulk ordering and AMC support available for café chains and franchises.
