India’s apex body of the Dairy Industry, the Indian Dairy Association (IDA), will be organizing a national seminar on 13 April on the theme’ Ideate. Innovate. Succeed.’
Arun Patil, chairman of IDA (West Zone), says, “Progress of Indian Dairy Industry during the last five decades is no less than a miracle. India has risen from net importer of milk to exporter of milk and milk products after increasing its milk production ten times, from 20 million tonnes to 200 million tonnes an annum. This has become possible with the great idea of cooperative dairy development and adoption of the new technologies in milk production, procurement, processing, value-added milk products, distribution and marketing. However, India will have to continue its pursuit of adopting new ideas & innovations which are sustainable and ensuring highest returns to the rural milk producers to remain on top in the world.”
The seminar will deliberate on new technologies and innovations like digitization, blockchain, and drones for the industry’s overall growth.
