India Welcomes Toki Suntory Whisky Black

The House of Suntory has introduced Toki Suntory Whisky Black in India, blending tradition and innovation to capture the essence of old-meets-new Japan.

Having made its debut earlier this year in global travel retail across key Indian airports, including Mumbai and Delhi Duty Free, Toki Black is now available in Maharashtra, Haryana and Karnataka, with plans to expand to other markets across India soon.

Toki Black captures a deeper, richer side of Japanese whisky craftsmanship, now tailored for India’s growing community of premium whisky enthusiasts.

Crafted using Hakushu heavily peated malt and Hakushu grain, Toki Suntory Whisky Black has a refined, smoky character. ‘Toki,’ meaning time in Japanese, reflects the balance between tradition and innovation. This new expression builds on the original Toki while staying true to the brand’s heritage.

Toki Black adheres to the Japanese Whisky labeling standards of the Japan Spirits & Liqueurs Makers Association (JSLMA). As the only organization of Western liquor producers in Japan authorized under the Liquor Industry Association Act, the JSLMA—comprising 104 members as of March 27, 2025—plays a vital role in upholding integrity and advancing the global reputation of Japan’s whisky industry.
