The new weight-based filler offered by Sidel Group was built for top accuracy and precision. No underfilling. No overfilling.

Sidel Group placed its new high-performance filler in the spotlight at CibusTec 2026, from 27 to 30 October in Parma, Italy. The filler, optimized for edible oil, sets a new benchmark for filling precision with a smart process designed for easy operations and maximum performance.

In an increasingly competitive landscape with a wide range of products and discerning consumers, every drop of edible oil counts. The new weight-based filler offered by Sidel Group was built for top accuracy and precision. No underfilling. No overfilling. No waste from first-bottle measurements, with simple operations.

“With our new filler, we meet the needs of edible oil producers and bottlers to provide highly accurate filling, ease and efficiency, and minimal energy consumption,” shared Davide Sighinolfi, Sidel’s vice-president for Food, Home and Personal Care.

A new level of precision is achieved thanks to design decisions like brushless motors for reduced vibrations, an optimized filling process that leverages the full arc of time available along the production to fill at optimal speed, and automated ‘in-flight oil’ measurements, which calculate and adjust for the oil that remains mid-air between the filling valve and the container at the time the valve is closed.

Together, these advances deliver a filling accuracy of within 0.5g per kilogram of oil and only 0.8g standard deviation.

Beyond precision, the filler offers efficiency, flexibility and ease, including predictive and easy maintenance with each component controlled by its own servo motor.

It fills formats ranging from 0.5 to 5 liters, in materials including PET, glass, can and HDPE on the same machine, and provides immediate tool-free changeovers.

High-efficiency brushless motors reduce electricity consumption vs the traditional alternative and consumption monitoring supports decision-making and compliance with predefined targets.

The filler now adds to the much wider offering from Sidel Group, including packaging expertise, line design and integration, complete equipment solutions, and lifecycle packaging line services.

“Edible oil is a key market for Sidel, and this new filler is an important step in strengthening our Food portfolio, bringing together filling precision, flexibility and efficiency to deliver tangible value to our customers’ packaging lines,” added Sébastien Sergues, director of Portfolio for Food, Home, Personal Care and Wine and Spirits Solutions.
