The new Paul John Indian single malt range

Paul John Whisky, a globally recognized single malt from John Distilleries,  is unveiling a fresh identity. Rooted as an award-winning liquid that has earned Paul John recognition worldwide, the evolution finds expression through a new packaging design that brings together the brand’s connection to Indian craftsmanship, provenance and the distinct character of each expression.

Anchored in its new narrative, ‘A Journey into Indian Craft,’ the refreshed identity marks how Paul John Whisky tells its story, moving beyond the liquid to celebrate the people, places, craftsmanship and influences that shape the whisky and its journey from Goa to the world.

The fresh identity comes to life through a completely refreshed packaging design inspired by Goa, Indian craftsmanship and the sensory character of each expression. A reimagined elephant, a longstanding symbol associated with the brand, now serves as the visual thread connecting the portfolio. Each expression brings the icon to life through distinctive illustrations, textures and visual cues inspired by its flavor profile and provenance, giving every expression a story of its own while creating a stronger visual identity for the portfolio.

Paul P John, chairman, John Distilleries, said, ” Paul John Whisky has always been a celebration of India — its craftsmanship, its richness and its ability to create something truly distinctive for the world. As the brand has traveled across markets, our story has evolved with it. This new identity brings that journey to life. It reflects where we come from, the craft that goes into every expression and our ambition to take a contemporary expression of Indian whisky to the world. The liquid remains at the heart of everything we do, but now the world around it has a story to tell too.”

The refreshed identity is now visible across three of Paul John’s core expressions: Nirvana, Brilliance and Bold. The wider portfolio, including the Select Casks, will transition to the new packaging in a phased manner over the coming months. While the brand’s visual identity and packaging are evolving, the whisky itself remains unchanged, retaining the same award-winning liquid and craftsmanship that have earned Paul John recognition worldwide.

The fresh identity builds on the strong momentum for the brand. Paul John Single Malt is now exported to over 44+ countries, with exports contributing a significant share to the growth in the country’s overall spirits exports, which have expanded at a rate of 20 – 26% in recent years.

Paul John Indian single malt whisky has won over 400+ awards globally, establishing itself as Asia’s Most Awarded Single Malt, with export volumes growing and international distribution expanding into the UK, US, Europe and UAE, positioning the brand as one of the category’s largest contributors to this growth. The company is focused on further growth through premiumization and portfolio expansion over the next five years.

With this updated visual identity, Paul John is looking to build on this momentum by bringing a more distinctive expression of Indian craft and contemporary luxury to consumers across the world. As the brand grows globally, it is taking forward its ambition to bring the craft, culture and character of India to the world. The evolution builds on a journey that began in Goa and continues to be shaped by the craft, culture and character of India as Paul John Whisky grows across global markets.
