Mahisa Packaging, a solution provider for hot melt adhesive dispensing and secondary packaging needs, highlighted its product portfolio at Anuga FoodTec 2024 in Mumbai. The products included a live demonstration of a hot-melt adhesive dispensing system and automatic and semi-automatic gluing, taping, and sealing technologies.

The Mumbai-based company told Packaging South Asia about its aim to expand its services globally and increase its product portfolio of simplified solutions. According to Harsh Shah, partner at Mahisa Packaging, the company’s entire product portfolio is designed for both micro and large enterprises. “The trouble-free setup enables immediate implementation of hot-melt technology, thus improving packaging performance and brand image. Our systems can be used for low-volume trial products to full-fledged production scales,” Shah said.

One of the key highlights of Mahisa’s presentation was its hot melt adhesive dispensing system. Shah said the system is designed to enhance packaging efficiency by applying heat-activated adhesives at high speed, ensuring consistent and reliable bonding while minimizing material waste.

“Our systems align perfectly with sustainable manufacturing processes,” Shah said, noting that the use of hot melt adhesives eliminates the need for traditional fasteners such as screws or nails. This not only reduces waste but also contributes to a cleaner and more efficient production line.

Shah emphasized that the implementation of innovation and technology in every step of packaging will not only increase productivity but also bring down production costs. “Our techniques not only help the finished product to retain its character but also reduce the rejection rate,” he said.

Participating in Anuga FoodTec 2024 proved to be a valuable experience for Mahisa Packaging, providing the company with a chance to connect with a diverse array of potential clients and industry partners.

“This exhibition has been highly beneficial for us,” said Shah. “It has allowed us to reach a wider audience and demonstrate our expertise in designing and manufacturing high-quality products for dispensing hot-melt adhesives and providing automated packaging solutions. We strive to not only meet but exceed our customers’ expectations.”
