Seven companies within the Fortifi Food Processing Solutions (Fortifi) unified platform of leading global brands will present productivity-enhancing solutions at IFFA 2025 from 3-8 May 2025, in Hall 11.0, Stand A01 at Messe Frankfurt, Germany. Representatives from Bettcher, Frontmatec, MHM Automation, LIMA, Nothum, REICH, Kais and partners will present food processing and automation solutions during the world’s leading trade fair for meat and alternative proteins.

Bettcher: Meat processing

Bettcher creates premium-quality precision tools for meat processing. At IFFA, Bettcher will present tools for skinning and trimming, including the handheld Cyclone Skinner, which reduces hand fatigue for greater productivity and easier working conditions. Attendees also will see the Quantum Flex TrimVac, which combines cutting and vacuum to ease removal of specific risk materials in beef processing, and the robust, innovative Whizard Versa Trimmer, with an ergonomic TWIST-N-GO head, easy-to-maintain quick-change blade technology and a multi-speed option.

Frontmatec: Automation

Frontmatec’s innovative automation solutions maximize yield and product quality for red meat processing, with advanced controls and software plus expert industry knowledge for maximized yields and product quality. The group offers solutions for the entire value chain, from lairage to carcass grading and all the way through the cut floor. Frontmatec also provides control systems, MES software, hygiene systems, stunning hand tools, and logistics and packaging systems.

At IFFA, Frontmatec will present advanced robotic technology that combines vision systems and AI to optimize all processes, product quality and yield. Frontmatec also will present its ITEC professional and personal hygiene solutions, Accles & Shelvoke cartridge-powered captive bolt stunners, Asuan custom-made red meat processing plant equipment and machinery, and aftermarket service and support for former customers of BANSS custom slaughtering and meat processing systems.

Frontmatec will highlight a comprehensive range of solutions at the show, including advanced control systems, MES software and IT/OT security. With seamless operation and real-time data acquisition, these tools monitor and optimize every stage of the meat processing value chain. Additionally, Frontmatec will feature its carcass grading systems, including AutoFom and Q-FOM. These precision solutions enhance yields, product quality and operational efficiency. Integration with MES software leverages grading data to reduce waste, optimize workflows and boost profitability while it supports sustainability

Frontmatec will join with two partners at IFFA 2025. The Danish Technological Institute’s Danish Meat Research Institute (DMRI) will present technological innovations for the international meat processing industry. The DMRI Predict tool uses advanced analytics to enhance food safety, and their AI and camera-based monitoring ensures smarter production. Völur, a leader in AI for sorting, scheduling and planning, also will be featured as part of Frontmatec’s commitment to drive innovation.

MHM Automation: Product handling

MHM Automation provides innovative product handling, chilling and freezing solutions that transform efficiency, sustainability, safety and quality. These include reverse-packaging equipment for de-palletizing/re-palletizing and de-boxing, including the ability to handle mixed carton sizes; automatic carton chilling/freezing tunnels and plate freezers for fast, energy efficient freezing. At IFFA, MHM will demonstrate an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) for material handling. MHM representatives also will present use cases and innovations through VR and onscreen demonstrations.

LIMA: Mechanical separation

As a world leader in high-quality mechanical separation, LIMA helps the poultry, red meat and fish industry maximize coproduct profits with robust labor-saving mechanical equipment that separates hard from soft material. These include meat-bone separators, deboners and grinders-desinewers.

At IFFA, LIMA will present its highest-capacity meat-bone separator. The RM 2000 S for the poultry industry produces high-quality mechanically separated meat, chicken or turkey at high yield with minimal temperature rise.

LIMA also will present the RM 700 DSPM deboner, specifically designed and built to process hard bones – such as from pork and lamb – and recover optimal yields of the highest quality mechanically deboned meat in terms of texture and color.

The LIMA RM 180 GDM Grinder-Desinewer will demonstrate LIMA’s unique 100% mechanical pressure regulated technology to grind poultry, beef and pork boneless meat cuts and trimmings while desinewing at extremely high yield. The RM180 GDM separates bone chips, cartilage and hard connective tissues to produce the best quality ground and desinewed meat: not mechanically separated but truly ground meat.

Nothum: Frying equipment

Nothum creates industry-leading predust, batter, breading and frying equipment for 400mm, 800mm, and 1000mm processing lines. At IFFA, Nothum will showcase a variety of products, including the versatile SuperFlex Homestyle Breading Machine, which handles various coatings in drum, flatbed, tripleflip and handtoss modes. Nothum also will demonstrate the BatterPro All-in-one Batter and Tempura Machine, which chills and mixes ingredients, and applies batter or tempura with controlled viscosity.

Attendees will see Nothum’s VersaCoat Flatbed Breading Machine with low-charge breading system, which reduces changeover and downtime with multiple coatings, and ProTherm Continuous Fryer, which maintains cleaner oil for consistent product quality while utilitizing 33% less oil usage. Nothum’s EzFlow Oil Filter, also slated for the show, removes sediments and reduces free-fatty acids from cooking oil with a safe low-pressure system.

Additional demonstrations will include the Nothum Acufeeder, which automatically adds flour, crumbs, rubs or panko to any Nothum breading and batter machinery.

REICH: Thermoprocessing

REICH is Germany’s oldest name in the field of thermoprocessing systems for food and a worldwide leader in this industry. REICH offers solutions for thermal processing of meat and sausage products, fish, poultry, cheese, convenience food, vegan and vegetarian products and pet food.
