Iba 2025 was an opportunity to discuss and meet the bakery industry players. GEA Bakery was present to showcase new highly efficient equipment, and share its latest initiatives towards a better, more sustainable future.

A summary of what went on at GEA’s booth during iba 2025.

GEA Bake Extruder

The new GEA Bake Extruder, engineered for high-performance baking, was unveiled for the first time worldwide at Iba.

This machine sets a new standard for high-speed industrial production, delivering exceptional flexibility for a wide range of bakery applications, with wirecut speeds of up to 350 strokes per minute.

It combines unmatched performance, improved ease of use, and a hygienic design to enhance productivity and product quality. Whether used as a stand-alone machine or connected to an oven, this extruder is built to meet the demands of high-volume operations with precision and efficiency.

The faster extruder ever built

GEA Bake Extruder delivers higher productivity, improved precision, and ease of maintenance, ensuring consistent results in high-speed production environments.

Ideal solution for every need

GEA Bake extruder key benefits include:

Enhanced productivity: The fully redesigned wirecut system supports a maximum working width of 1,700 mm, delivering up to 350 strokes/min for wirecut and 130 cpm for encapsulated cookies, setting a new industry standard.

Precision: Brushless motors for better speed control, accuracy, and product consistency.

Customizable filling systems: Optional lobe pumps for better aeration and enhanced dough precision.

Flexible applications: Ideal for wirecut, co-extruded, filled cookies, and continuous extruded products.

Safety: photo-electric barriers to ensure safe operations

Easy maintenance and cleanability: Accessible components for quick checks and preventive maintenance. Open head for easy access.

GEA E-BAKE

The second new machine presented at iba was our new electric industrial baking oven. Developed to meet the evolving demands of sustainable food manufacturing, the GEA E-Bake G2 represents a significant step forward in the transition away from legacy gas-based systems.

The new GEA E-Bake oven incorporates new airflow concepts, a reduced baking chamber, and micro convection with higher airflow and localized ventilation for each module, controlled by zone. The oven also features reduced thermal bridges and a new configuration of electrical resistances.

Premium quality

These innovations ensure improved product quality and consistency, with uniformity and repeatability thanks to self-sufficient modules and an optimized bottom plenum for each product type.

Fully accessibility

The oven is fully cleanable, with complete access to the baking chamber and a slide-out chamber bottom. Pre-assembled, independent Plug&Play modules significantly reduce production stops during installation.
