At Sial India 2024, Ta-daa, a maker of sweet corn kernels, presented its range of products in different flavors. The Bengaluru company, offering a healthy alternative for a quick snack, received quality footfall at its stand, making it a successful participation.

Hershita Joshi, product manager, said the real value of the product is in its convenience. “The range comes in different sizes and flavors, with the smallest priced at Rs 35. The bigger packs come with a spoon for snacking on the go. In the bigger range, the offerings are not limited to just steamed; there are grilled variants and marinated variants available, too.”

The company’s journey began with the success of sweet corn. Building on the initial results, it extended its process to various lentils and vegetables.

According to Joshi, food gets spoiled due to the action of microbes that require air and a conducive temperature to thrive. “Our simple process involves creating a vacuum and sterilizing the food through steaming. A new cooking method was discovered, allowing us to preserve sweet corn in fresh produce without any additives or preservatives. We believe in preserving food just the way nature intended.”

Ta-daa has been working to make its offerings traceable. “We owe it to our consumers and the farmers. It is high time we give visibility to where it is due, the farmers. One can know where the corn is sourced from with an easy scan of QR Code. By clicking on the link, and entering the batch code, one can discover the origins of their food. Every pack of sweet corn comes with a QR Code to make this easy. We will soon extend this to all our products,” she concludes.
