Cosmo Films, a specialty film provider for packaging, lamination, and labeling applications and synthetic paper, has introduced a new bi-axially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) based coated film, which is designed to release a fragrance which lasts for a long time slowly.

According to Cosmo, the film is matte-finished on one side while the other side is extrusion coated for thermal lamination applications. Through initial tests, these newly designed films have proven to remain fragrant for more than two months, and it is expected that the film would continue to release a soothing fragrance for almost six months. The film is available in 24 microns thickness and is aptly suited for thermal or wet lamination.

Cosmo said the film could be widely used for applications like catalogs, book covers, various bonds, magazines, visiting cards, packaging for cosmetics and personal care items, and more.

Speaking fragranced packaging film, Pankaj Poddar, chief executive officer, Cosmo Films, said, “A sense of pleasing smell acts as a catalyst for a positive outcome.
