Sidel will highlight its futureproof packaging innovations for beverage, food, home and personal care industries (FHPC) at Korea Pack 2024, 23-26 April.

Sidel’s RoboAccess_Pal S, a palletizing solution combining robotic and cobotic requirements and EvoFilm, the latest seamless shrink-wrapping range, are making their Korea Pack debuts. At stand 4C201, delegates can also discover Sidel’s world-class Aseptic Combi solutions.

Korea Pack, Goyang, is the largest international processing and packaging industry exhibition in the country attracts 33,000 visitors from across the Asia-Pacific region.

Complete line combi solutions

“Due to high temperatures experienced in Korea, reliable aseptic packaging solutions are essential to ensure that sensitive ingredients in beverage and dairy products remain in top condition. Sidel, with over five decades of experience in the aseptic packaging industry, is increasingly looking to support customers across the region,” comments Byung Kwun Joo, Account Director, Sidel.

Sidel will showcase on stand the Aseptic Combi Predi, an integrated blow-fill-cap solution for PET bottles that incorporates Predis dry preform sterilization.

By eliminating conveying, empty-bottle handling, accumulation and storage, Aseptic Combi Predis has an optimized line layout with a smaller footprint, improving production hygiene and efficiency while lowering operating costs.

Meeting market demands

Sidel will also demonstrate its advanced range of palletizing and packaging equipment for the FHPC markets, including the robotic system, RoboAccess_Pal S which offers flexibility and efficiency to manufacturers.

RoboAccess_Pal S can deliver speeds of up to 12 cycles per minute and enables a case payload of up to 25kg allowing manufacturers to meet market demands with ease. The palletizer offers a compact design that enables two stations to be set up with a footprint of less than 12m2.

Visitors to the stand will also be able to view the new Cermex ProSelex, which can handle complex and innovatively shaped containers and bottles while preserving container stability throughout the whole manufacturing process.

The Cermex ProSelex is fast and easy to use with changeovers from one minute to two minutes thirty seconds; this solution is key to meeting fast-paced consumer demands. Due to a small number of change parts required, the module also delivers significant cost efficiency and overall time-to-market optimisation for any new format needed in the future.

New wrapping innovations

EvoFilm, Sidel’s latest high-speed seamless shrink-wrapping range, will also be available to view on the stand. The shrink-wrapping machine uses a new stretch film technology to achieve ninety percent energy savings and a fifty percent reduction in plastic film.

By removing the need for any heat, the wrapping technology involves pre-stretching the film and wrapping it around the primary packaging. With this unique advantage, EvoFilm Stretch reduces plastic film consumption while using significantly less energy.

With speeds up to eighty packs per minute, the new solution quickly stretches the film and applies the correct wrapping force to any packaging format, ideal for meeting the demands facing the beverages and FHPC industries.
