Third Wave Coffee, one of India’s coffee QSR brands, has revealed its ‘2024 Coffee Notes’ highlighting the coffee and food choices of over 7 million customers in 2024. Serving 7.1 million cups of coffee across the country, Third Wave Coffee continues to strengthen India’s deep connection with specialty brews.

According to a press release, the brand’s cappuccino, classic cold coffee, and mocha choco chip emerged as the year’s most-loved beverages, reaffirming India’s growing coffee obsession. Morning routines were dominated by cappuccinos and americanos, while the frappe reigned supreme during evening hours. Sundays stood out as the nation’s favorite coffee day, offering a perfect moment for customers to unwind and gear up for the week ahead.

Regional coffee-drinking preferences revealed key insights about the growing coffee culture in the country. Bengaluru emerged as the coffee capital with nearly 2.5 million cups of specialty brews being served in the city. Coffee lovers in Delhi weren’t too far behind their counterparts in Bengaluru. Third Wave Coffee delighted consumers in Delhi with close to 2 million cups of coffee served last year. The festive spirit shone bright, with Christmas emerging as the busiest day of the year.

Sharing his views about the brand’s 2024 Coffee Notes, Rajat Luthra, CEO, Third Wave Coffee said, “2024 has been incredible as we marked the year with unique food innovations, explored new formats and flavors, and expanded our presence to reach more and more coffee-lovers across the nation. The 7.1 million cups of coffee served in the year are symbolic of the love & trust bestowed upon the brand by our customers. We will continue to craft delightful Third Wave Coffee experiences for you. We will further our diverse offerings and seasonal innovations that emerged as favorites last year. As we move into 2025, we’re focused on growing our presence across the country, making specialty coffee more accessible to everyone – whether at our cafes or on the go.”

Dwelling deeper, traditional favorites like cappuccino, americano, and hot chocolate continued to warm the hearts in the morning hours and seasonal sensations like choco malt frappe and pistachio latte/frappe stole the spotlight as monsoon must-haves. On the food accompaniments, banana walnut tea cake, baked chili toast, and chocolate croissant topped the charts, making every coffee moment perfect. Regional preferences that stood out were bagels leading in Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi. While Bangalore embraced pancakes as its ultimate breakfast companion.

With over 120 cafes, Third Wave Coffee is more excited than ever about the future of coffee in India. “Committed to nurturing this rapidly growing coffee culture, we look forward to offering coffee that is even more exceptional and a memorable café experience to our customers in the year ahead,” Luthra adds.
