BL Agro, an FMCG major, showcased its products, highlighted its journey thus far, and presented its strategic roadmap, Vision 2030, at the World Food India 2024 in New Delhi. As a part of its expansion, the company also signed multiple MoUs with foreign companies at the event.

The BL Agro group launched Nourish Pulses, the latest addition to its product portfolio, at the exhibition. It unveiled a new television commercial showcasing the revamped image of the ‘Nourish’ brand, which focuses on delivering high-quality, nutritious, and hygienic products to Indian households.

On the second day of the exhibition, BL Kamdhenu Farms, a subsidiary of BL Agro, signed an MoU with Sewden-based DeLaval, a global leader in dairy farming technology, providing integrated solutions that improve dairy producers’ production, animal welfare, and the overall quality of life. Leads Connect Services, BL Agro’s agritech arm, signed another MoU with Poland-based Arya Capital.

The partnership of BL Kamdhenu and DeLaval focuses on promoting a zero-waste economy and long-term sustainability in cattle breeding and dairy technology, with an investment of nearly ₹1,500 crore. The collaboration is designed to harness advanced technologies and farming solutions, including milking essentials, farm management, and cow comfort. By integrating all components of the milk value chain—from feed requirements to waste management—the initiative aims to create a circular economy, driving economic growth and environmental sustainability.

Speaking on the partnership, Navneet Ravikar, director of B.L. Kamdhenu Farms, said, “The partnership with DeLaval is a crucial step in our efforts to innovate and transform the White Revolution. Through this collaboration, we are committing to creating a fully integrated and sustainable milk value chain. Because only when we ensure zero waste, can we create long-term benefits for farmers and the environment alike.”

The MoU signed with Arya Capital opens the doors to various technologies for India’s green technology sector. Through this collaboration, the group aims to deliver advanced solutions across multiple sectors, including drone forestry and compressed biogas (CBG). The group believes it will attract Polish investment into India’s infrastructure and environmental initiatives.

Arun Kumar, state minister of Uttar Pradesh, “The partnership between B L Agro and Arya Capital is a testament to India’s commitment to progress in all fields. We are adopting cutting-edge technologies that make sustainability a reality and protect the environment. Such initiatives don’t just push economic growth. They also strengthen our efforts in combating climate change.”

Vision 2030

Unveiled at the exhibition, Vision 2030 by BL Agro targets a turnover of ₹20,000 crore by 2030, with sustainability, innovation, and community uplift. The initiative focuses on four pillars, BL Agro’s Khet Se Kitchen Tak, BL Kamadhenu Farms’ dairy initiatives, Leads Connect’s AgriTech innovations, and Leads Nextech initiatives. Each program reinforces BL Agro’s strategy of leveraging technology to revolutionize farm-to-table processes, empower farmers, and drive efficiency.

Ashish Khandelwal, managing director of BL Agro, said, “We don’t see Vision 2030 as a mere growth plan. It’s a commitment. We want to drive meaningful change across the agri-food chain. Through investments in innovative solutions such as dairy tech, sustainable fodder production, and space-tech-driven analytics, we are building a future where every part of the chain is more efficient, sustainable, and beneficial to our farmers and consumers alike.”

Focusing on sustainability in its Vision 2030, Khandelwal emphasized on sustainable cost efficiency. “The sustainable solutions implemented in the entire process should be cost-effective and if not should not be implemented. Ultimately, the sustainable solutions are beneficial but should be planned properly to make it cost-effective for the business,” he told IndiFoodBev in an interaction.

Key Initiatives under Vision 2030

BL Agro: Expanding to Jharkhand, launching a millet-based venture to uplift tribal communities.

BL Kamadhenu: Working on dairy technology to improve farmer incomes through better cattle breeds and milk production. It will create a model dairy farm and IVF lab housing 5,000 indigenous cows. A contract farm that partners with local farmers to ensure a steady supply of green fodder for their cattle.

Leads Connect: Leading the way in AgriTech, using space-tech AI and geospatial intelligence to address challenges in agriculture faced by all stakeholders. It will create market linkages for the farming community, fostering entrepreneurship.

Leads Nextech: An EarthTech Analytics company that will deliver human-centric solutions in space tech, AI, and geospatial intelligence. Focused on sustainability, scalability, and impact, the cutting-edge technology will address real-world challenges across multiple domains.

We see a bold future for BL Agro – a future with milestones that will take us, our partners, and our farmers to new heights. Vision 2030 is our way of turning hopeful plans into reality. Yes, we will be expanding our presence and introducing new products. But at the core, we’re staying true to our mission—providing healthy, hygienic, and affordable food to every Indian household. That’s what drives us, and that’s what we’re committed to achieving,” said Ghanshyam Khandelwal, chairman of BL Agro.
