At Anuga FoodTec Mumbai, Minebea Intec, a leading global manufacturer of industrial weighing and inspection technologies headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, will showcase weighing and inspection technologies designed to boost efficiency, transparency and plant availability.
At Hall 4, Stand M22 from 29 September to 1 October 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Minebea will also showcase the award-winning Blue HMI.
Rising energy costs, higher quality requirements, stricter sustainability targets and the demand for maximum plant availability are putting manufacturing companies under increasing pressure.
At Anuga FoodTec 2026, Minebea will demonstrate how these challenges can be overcome with intelligently networked weighing and inspection solutions. “Today, it is crucial to make data from weighing and inspection processes consistently usable – this is the only way to reduce downtime, ensure consistent quality and optimize processes in a targeted manner,” says Mohan Bhat, director of Research and Development at Minebea Intec India.
The focus is on the Blue HMI, which is now used across the entire product and application portfolio and was recently awarded the Red Dot Award in the “Interface & User Experience Design” category. The uniform operating concept enables intuitive, consistent user guidance across different systems, reduces training requirements and minimizes operating errors. Visitors to the stand can expect not only state-of-the-art technology, but above all direct interaction with experts who understand individual requirements and develop practical solutions.
MiNexx – Innovation highlight with the highest level of cyber security
With the weight indicators MiNexx and the weighing platform MiNexx 3000, Minebea Intec presents a true innovation highlight for industrial weighing applications. The systems are used wherever precise weight data is critical to the process – for example, in vehicle, silo and container weighing, in goods receipt and dispatch, or in batching and mixing processes. In combination with connected load cells, they enable reliable and continuous monitoring of material flows – even under demanding conditions.
In addition to high measurement accuracy, the systems offer modern interfaces such as OPC UA, which enable standardized, platform-independent communication between machines, software and higher-level systems. Data is not only transmitted in a format, but is also provided with contextual information, ensuring it can be unambiguously interpreted and directly processed across systems.
The high level of cyber security is complemented by an integrated security concept – including a three-tier user role management system that ensures clear access control and high operational reliability. In this way, MiNexx solutions lay the foundation for data-driven process optimisation, greater efficiency and more sustainable production.
New generation of checkweighers and X-ray technology
With the checkweigher Essentus Advanced, Minebea Intec presents a newly developed solution for modern production environments. The system impresses with a significantly improved operating concept, comprehensive Connectivity and enhanced performance – consistently designed for networked processes and high efficiency.
For food manufacturers, the use of checkweighers is a key component in reliably preventing over- and under-filling, complying with legal requirements and, at the same time, optimizing raw material usage – a crucial lever for improving product quality and reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO).
The portfolio is complemented by the newly available X-ray inspection system Identus, which, like the Essentus Advanced checkweigher, is manufactured in India and can be seen in action at the stand. “Thanks to local manufacturing, customers benefit from short delivery times as well as technical and regulatory requirements that are optimally tailored to the Indian market,” says Mohan Bhat. “Our Indian development team has done a fantastic job here in coordination with our headquarters in Germany.”
In addition to reliable foreign body detection – such as metal, glass, stones, plastics or bones – the X-ray inspection system Identus enables comprehensive in-line quality checks: from weight determination and counting of components to the identification of missing or damaged products, right through to fill level control and closure integrity checks.
IndiFoodBev — authentic, impactful and influential
An English-language food and beverage processing and packaging industry B2B platform in print and web, IndiFoodBev is in its third year of publication. It is said that the Indian food and beverage industries represent approximately US$ 900 billion in revenues which implies more than 20% of the country’s GDP. Eliminating the wastage on the farmside can help to deliver more protein to a higher number of the population apart from generating sizable exports. The savings in soil, seeds, water, fertilizer, energy and ultimately food and nutrition could be the most immense contribution that country is poised to make to the moderation of climate change.
