Sidel showcases advanced technology at Gulfood Manufacturing 2023.

Sidel is showcasing its advanced technology solutions for the food and beverage industry at Gulfood Manufacturing 2023 at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 7 – 9 November 2023.

Gulfood Manufacturing is the Middle East & North Africa’s (MENA) leading platform for the food and beverage industry, bringing together 2,168 exhibitors from 69 countries and over 36,000 visitors.

Sidel is present at Hall 3, Stand A3-4.

Last year, 96% visitors said the show was important to their sourcing development and Sidel is well positioned to assist its MENA customers by sharing packaging and processing expertise.

Sidel is highlighting its complete line  and advanced technology solutions including the new flexible Cermex ProSelex infeed system for shaped bottles as well as its new RoboAccess_Pal S, a uniquely compact capable palletizing solution that delivers improved agility, operability and compactness to the food and beverage industries.

Complete line solutions

Visitors will be able to discuss Sidel’s end-to-end line solutions, the culmination of over 40 years of expertise and a comprehensive portfolio of services from line concept, engineering to packaging technologies and equipment.

Bassam Oussaifi, VP Sales, Middle East & Africa, Sidel said: “In June 2023, IFFCO Group looked to strengthen its condiment production capabilities by installing Sidel’s complete cutting-edge PET lines at its facility in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the new site in Iraq. We worked with IFFCO group to deliver the entire turnkey solution – each line now boasts a 9,000 bottle per hour capacity and flexibility to handle three unique bottle designs, two cap options and three label variations.”

“I’m looking forward to working and meeting with new and existing customers at Gulfood Manufacturing to achieve the highest levels of efficiency, reliability and sustainability.”

New innovations for packing and palletizing

Earlier this year, Sidel released two key innovations for packing and palletising to meet the evolving needs of manufacturers. The Cermex ProSelex is a flexible collating system for complex unstable bottles. This gentle, streamlined, grouping device is designed to associate with any type of case packer and will deliver extreme efficiency, high availability, and greater operability.

In addition, the RoboAccess_Pal S is a uniquely capable palletizing solution that delivers improved agility, operability and compactness to the FHPC industries. Both solutions were utilized by IFFCO Group at its UAE and Iraq sites and were instrumental in heightening the company’s production capabilities.

Single smart solution

Sidel is also demonstrating its Super Combi, an integrated preform feeding, blowing, labelling, filling/capping and cap feeding all-in-one advanced solution that is able to offer significant productivity and quality benefits to customers in the water industry.

Water makes up nearly one-third of soft drinks sales in the UAE, and sales are forecast to grow faster than any other category, to 436m liters by 2026, as consumers additionally seek out climate-friendly packaging and larger pack sizes.

Visitors will be able to see the fastest operative single line in MENA, through a film demonstration of the 86,000 bottle per hour (bph) Super Combi solution at UAE-based company Mai Dubai. Additionally, Sidel’s first Super Combi installed within the African region for Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC of Coca-Cola Hellenic Group) and capable of 65,000 bph will also be on show.
