The Buhler India team has designed a module to support training on cleaning grading and sorting for the contemporary food industry. The company’s machines are designed for the precise features, especially for grain processing plants. The courses to be held from 19 to 23 June 2023, and from 16 to 20 October 2023, are hands-on training that include both hands-on operation and classroom instruction with printed course materials. To be held at the Buhler India application and training center in Bengaluru and conducted in English and Hindi, the courses are meant for executives, supervisors and operations managers of food processing companies and startups. They require little to moderate knowledge of the cleaning process of agro products. Buhler has two Bengaluru application centers – one for consumer food, and the other for flour and rice milling applications.

The content of the course will provide an overview of the different types of grain with their physical characteristics; the importance of cleaning, grading and sorting in various food industries; and, an understanding of the machines used in the cleaning section and the multi-commodity applications of machines for separating impurities.

There will be an introduction to color sortex technology with its real-time functions and related overviews and training for maintenance and trouble shooting of the cleaning equipment. The detailed overviews will include those of filters, aspiration, dust collectors and the automation used in the cleaning section. The pneumatic applications in cleaning, grading and sorting will also taught.
