The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) has transformed the US food safety system, shifting the focus from reactive into preventive regulatory monitoring. The new FSMA rules apply to all stakeholders in the food supply chain to various degrees and enable FDA to better protect public health by strengthening the food safety system.

This webinar hosted by SGS provides an opportunity for food importers and global suppliers to hear from FDA on the latest regulatory topics related to FSMA. The hour-long session will take place on 5 October 2021 at 1930 hrs IST.

The webinar covers various regulatory areas related to FSMA and allows stakeholders in the food industry to hear from FDA and ask questions. Presentations will cover the Accredited Third-Party Certification Program (TPP), Voluntary Qualified Importer Program (VQIP), and the proposed traceability rule.

The complimentary webinar is aimed at all food quality and regulatory compliance professionals. Hank Karayan, Global FSMA Program director; Amelia Tetterton, Consumer Safety officer, US Food and Drug Administration; and Doriliz De Leon, Program coordinator for the Accredited Third-Party Certification Program (TPP), FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition will be the speakers for the webinar.
