The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has extended the last date for submission of Expression of Interest (EoI) or proposal under the scheme for creation or expansion of food processing and preservation capacities (CEFPPC) up to 31 May 2020.

According to the modified CEFPPC scheme guidelines dated 2 March 2020 available on MoFPI website (https://www.mofpi.nic.in) and decisions taken by Inter-Ministerial Approval Committee(IMAC) in its meeting held on 26 February 2020, the interested promoters or investors who are willing to set up their food processing units, may submit their proposal or EOI through online portal (http://sampada-mofpi.gov.in/cefppc/login.aspx) on or before 11.30 PM on 31 May 2020. The decision has been taken after reviewing the status of the implementation of the scheme. Based on requests received from various investors or entrepreneurs, the closing or last date and time for submission of EOI or proposal has now been extended.

The promoters and investors are advised to apply and submit applications well in advance before closure of online portal and not to wait till the last date or time for submission. However, the proposals received against this EoI will be approved subject to availability of funds under the Scheme. Mere submission of application with required documents against the EoI does not confer any right on the applicant for claim of grant-in-aid under the scheme.
