Seeing the global scenario of Covid-19, Messe Muenchen India, the organizer of trade shows Analytica Anacon India and India Lab Expo 2020 has recently announced the cancellation of the Mumbai edition of the trade show. The shows were earlier rescheduled to take place in August 2020. The Analytica Anacon India and India Lab Expo in Mumbai will now take place on 15 and 16 April 2021.
Analytica Anacon India and India Lab Expo are organized annually in the cities of Hyderabad and Mumbai. These shows are together among the biggest shows in laboratory technology, analysis, and biotechnology in India.
The rampant spread of Covid-19 across the country and particularly in Mumbai has resulted in the cancellation of the Mumbai edition. As part of the anti-pandemic measures, the state has converted the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC) in Mumbai into a makeshift quarantine center for Covid-19 patients, which led to the cancellation of Mumbai edition of Analytica Anacon India and India Lab Expo 2020.
Bhupinder Singh, chief executive officer, Messe Muenchen India confirmed the news, “We are disappointed that we have to cancel Analytica Anacon India and India Lab Expo 2020, however considering the current situation, the cancellation of the Mumbai edition is in the best interest of everyone involved in the trade fairs.”
Reinhard Pfeiffer, deputy chairman of the Board, Messe München, adds, “We regret that we have to cancel the trade fair in view of Mumbai’s current situation. We are making this decision in the interest of our customers. Health and economic reasons currently speak against holding Analytica Anacon India and India Lab Expo 2020.”
