Bloom, Vietnam’s first-ever global innovation center for the food and beverage industry, was launched on 4 July – showcasing its innovative and cost-efficient product creation model.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Sweden to Vietnam Ann Måwe, Pham Hong Quat, general director of the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialisation as well as senior leaders from leading food and beverage companies in Vietnam.
“The Bloom innovation center signifies our long-term commitment to Vietnam, contributing to the nation’s innovation and transformation targets as well as unlocking the immense potential of the local food and beverage industry,” said Eliseo Barcas, managing director of Tetra Pak Vietnam.
Bloom is designed to offer food and beverage brands an accelerated route for converting their ideas into tangible concepts and facilitating small-scale production for market testing, seamlessly transitioning to mid, large, and mass production.

“Innovation is crucial for F&B brands to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market with growing demands for nutritious, healthy, and sustainable products. It is not easy for F&B players to do this at the needed speed and cost-efficiently,” said Johan Boden, CEO of DenEast Vietnam. “Smaller brands require more expertise and investment for large-scale equipment while established brands face production disruptions and lack the dedicated facility for micro innovation.”
Leveraging Tetra Pak’s technology and end-to-end expertise, coupled with DenEast’s manufacturing capabilities, Bloom can effectively tackle these challenges for brands of all sizes. It offers remarkable flexibility, efficiency, shortened time-to-market, and eliminates the need for equipment investment, all conveniently located in one place.
The innovation center can cater to the needs of food and beverage brands not just in Vietnam, but across the region and further parts of the world.

“With Bloom, our ambition is to drastically shorten product creation cycles, reducing them from years to months. Here you can have your new product in small batches faster than ever before,” said Eliseo. “One of the key advantages of using Bloom’s services is that you can bring your innovation to market at an extraordinary pace without the need to make a significant financial investment in equipment.”
Developed by food processing and packaging solutions company Tetra Pak and DenEast, Bloom aims to revolutionize the industry with cost-efficient innovation. Incubate and accelerate new concepts using best practices, while flexible technology allows seamless scaling from trials to full production without the need for equipment investment.
DenEast is a contract manufacturer specializing in aseptic beverage solutions for brand owners in Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and other selected export markets.
