Social media campaign highlights demand for McGrill burger

McDonald’s India recently gave in to customer demand and relaunched the Chicken
McGrill Burger. McDonald’s India North and East has developed the #McGrillisBack
social media campaign to make customers aware of this relaunch. Chicken is a
favorite protein in many parts of India and especially in the North and now it turns
also in the East.

McGrill fans all over the country had started a petition to bring back the burger
after it was removed from McDonald’s menu and took to social media channels to
express their love for this culinary delight. The petition also found support in
celebrities like Neha Dhupia and Abhishek Upmanyu. After receiving many such
petitions and requests, McDonald’s North and East finally relented and decided to
bring back the iconic Chicken McGrill burger.

McGrill fans again took to social media to express their love and gratitude for the
burger. McDonald’s India North and East compiled the most loved reactions and got
actor Shreya Chaudhary to add a humorous touch by conveying to customers that
their favorite burger is back in business. DDB Mudra conceptualized this campaign
based on people’s love for the Chicken McGrill burger.

The much-loved burger now finds pride of place in McDonald’s menus across all
outlets in North and East India. It has also regained its place as a part of the
delivery and takeaway menu cards of its outlets in the region.
