B&R Moll, the industry’s leading supplier of folder gluers, digital rotary die cutters, and specialized bindery finishing equipment for printing and packaging facilities, announced that it has been deemed an essential business amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and will remain in operation to supply print and packaging equipment for the food, medical, and hospital industries.
According to Pennsylvania Gov Tom Wolf’s industry operation guidance list, ‘Printing and Related Support Activities’ businesses within the manufacturing industry, are considered life sustaining and are allowed to remain open. Specifically, for B&R Moll, the company’s operations are essential to support the packaging of life-sustaining medical and food products. As a result, B&R Moll will continue to provide service, support, and parts orders for its wide range of folding and gluing machines, including the Moll Flexcut System, the digi-mollPAK system, and much more.
“We appreciate Gov Wolf’s decision to allow printing and packaging businesses supporting critical infrastructure sectors to remain in operation during such a crucial time,” said Kevin Moll, vice president of sales for B&R Moll. “Due to these efforts, we can continue to provide service and support for our machines so that our customers can stay up and running to package products that are necessary to meet the steadily increasing demands of the food, medical, and hospital industries in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.”
As part of its ongoing operations, B&R Moll will continue to offer 24/7 tech support via cellphone, text messaging, or email to any of the company’s technicians and salespersons. In addition, all B&R Moll parts will be shipped on the day they are ordered.
B&R Moll has taken several measures to ensure the safety and health of its employees in accordance with CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines, including allowing staff who are able to work remotely to do so, and implementing a staggered schedule to offer for more social distancing.
“The safety and health of our employees has always been our primary concern, and we are committed to taking the necessary steps to keep them safe and healthy while still being able to carry on with our work,” said Moll.
