Award winning natural fiber innovation

“At Interpack 2023, one focus will be on the machine series for the  production of biodegradable natural fiber packaging. We are delighted  to receive the WorldStar Award 2023 for our Natureformer KFT  90 machine at this trade fair as recognition of Kiefel’s commitment to  sustainable packaging solutions,” says Cornelia Frank, Global  director of Fiber Packaging at Kiefel. Kiefel Fiber Thermoforming allows  the manufacture of sustainable packaging such as bowls, cups, lids, coffee capsules, packaging for frozen food, secondary packaging for electronics and luxury goods, and flower pots. Moreover, together with  Pagès Group and MCC Verstraete, Kiefel will also showcase recyclable  or compostable label solutions suitable for fiber packaging.

Material-saving plastic solutions – efficiently produced

“Additionally, we are displaying machine technology for the efficient  production of sustainable polymer containers, which are lightweight and material saving and can be made of mono materials, like our  Speedformer KMD 78.2 SPEED for tray production and our  Speedformer KTR 5.2 for cup production,” highlights Armin Dietrich, Director Sales of Polymer Packaging at Kiefel.

Flexible form-fill-seal technology for medical bags

Beside these packaging applications, Kiefel is also involved in the  improvement of patients’ quality of life and healthcare with its new  flexible Solutionperformer: Visitors can explore the modular system that combines bag making, filling and sealing in a single  system at the best price-performance ratio for top-quality infusion, multi chamber or CAPD bag production.

Kiefel develops and produces machines for processing plastics, recycled  and bio-based materials as well as natural fibers. Kiefel’s customers include well known manufacturers from the medical engineering & pharma, refrigerator, and  packaging industries.
