Valco Melton’s MX electric hot melt valve

At PackPlus, Valco Melton India displayed its MX electric hot melt valve, which is employed in the majority of its hot melt dispensing solutions. This workhorse valve is capable of operating at exceedingly high speeds touching 15,000 cycles per minute for short bursts and can drive more than 2 billion cycles during its lifetime, depending on the working conditions. The MX electric hot melt valve can be utilized in a wide variety of applications including folding cartons, packaging, sift proof packaging, and slot coat applications.

The MX electric valve is also recognized as the EcoStitch capable valve in food and beverage packaging applications. It is known to significantly reduce adhesive usage by up to 75% for immediate ROI and process improvement for the food and beverage packaging industry.

Zero downtime and significant adhesive savings

For sealing and erecting of cartons and cases, the MX electric hot melt valve has zero downtime for part changes and removal of plugged nozzles. The consistent and full uptime usage results in zero compressed air or dynamic seal maintenance and significant reduction to elimination and/or stringing of angel hair.

The MX valve also benefits users in about 50 – 75 % estimated adhesive savings for bliss box/BIB, vertical tray, and box formers. At the same time, tray forming and beverage applications can expect 30 – 50% estimated savings of adhesive.
