Global packaging manufacturer Korozo will take its portfolio of flexible packaging solutions for food and non-food applications to FachPack 2024, which takes place 24-26 September in Nuremburg, Germany.

In Hall 4, stand 343, Korozo will present its broad range of capabilities and services through a number of products and sustainable packaging solutions suitable for multiple food and non-food applications.

With the environment and sustainability to be an important theme at FachPack 2024, Korozo is delighted to present its ‘recycle ready’ KoroRCY solution. This is a polyolefin-based, PA-free flexible laminated film that offers better performance with full recyclability. An advanced PE formulation provides unrivalled levels of clarity and superior stiffness and strength. The PP formulation provides unrivalled performance for easy opening peel functions. PE and PP materials are both manufactured using Korozo’s in-house state-of-the-art extrusion technology.

KoroRCY can be used for a wide range of applications including fresh food, dry food, food ingredients, frozen food, nuts and confectionery, personal care products, pet care products, and many more. It is suited to the company’s in-house high-end flexo and rotogravure printing.

Stand-up pouches manufactured out of recycle-ready PE/PP are presented for both food and non-food applications, such as pet food and detergents and automotive fluids. Stand-up pouches are an in-demand packaging format, owing to their versatility in design potential, application range, performance characteristics and environmental credentials.

The skin packaging market is similarly growing and is another area in which Korozo excels with its Koroskin portfolio. Koroskin are extremely versatile films suitable for multiple applications, although most popularly used for fresh and processed meat, poultry, fish, ready meals, frozen food and cheese. With the slogan “less is more”, the advantages of Koroskin include excellent clarity, a 20% material reduction, liquid retention, extended product shelf life and enhanced vertical retailing.

Korozo will present sustainable packaging concepts; KoroRCY for flowpack, lidding and thermoforming applications, as well as for stand-up pouches; a new peelable PP lidding film for fresh meat packaging; stretch films; and more.

Warren Birch, food flexibles business unit birector, says, “Korozo’s ongoing development of sustainable packaging alternatives provides a comprehensive product range for existing market and circularity requirements.

“With the latest updates on our approach with sustainable product solutions and our cooperative mindset to achieve future objectives, visitors to the Korozo stand at FachPack 2024 will learn first-hand how the products we develop and produce can directly benefit their products and customers.”

Selin Bahar Mesulam, non-food flexibles unit director, says, “We are all seeing the market for pouches continue to grow. As the market for pouches continues to grow and the application range expands, it becomes more and more important to provide options that are not only perfectly suited to the end-use but are designed with the environment in mind and to be sustainable. Our portfolio achieves exactly that and more. Whatever your product, we have the right packaging to suit your needs.”

Birch and Bahar Mesulam conclude,“We look forward to welcoming everyone to the Korozo stand in Hall 4.”
