avercasso has announced its participation as a Diamond Sponsor for this year’s 2024 Korean Coffee Roasting Championship (KCRC). A landmark event for roasters, the annual competition will take place this year from 7-10 March in Incheon, South Korea. The KCRC’s mandate of elevating coffee roasting in Asia is a perfect match for avercasso and its new coffee bean sorter, the CS One.
As a Diamond Sponsor of the KCRC, representatives from avercasso will attend the event and showcase the CS One in person. There will be a live demonstration of the green bean sorting process along with discussions of the product’s technology and design.
“We are extremely proud to sponsor this event,” noted avercasso CEO, Andy Hsi, “The Korean Coffee Roasting Championship is a well-known and esteemed fixture in the industry. Their commitment to specialty coffee roasting is a great fit for avercasso and our products. Our shared vision of creating exceptional and healthy coffee experiences will be on full display in March.”
avercasso is known for its AI-powered coffee bean sorter, the CS One. The device uses AI recognition technology to automatically analyze and separate green beans prior to roasting. With an accuracy rate of 99%, the CS One not only saves on hours of labor from traditional hand sorting, but it also improves the yields of specialty coffee beans.
The 2024 KCRC will host premium roasters from all over Korea as they compete to produce the highest-quality coffee roast. Participants are provided with beans and a standard roasting machine and must produce an outstanding roast in a strict time frame. Sanctioned by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) – Korea Chapter, the winners from the event will go on to represent Korea at the World Coffee Roasting Championship in June, where the CS One will also be present for live demonstrations.
